DEVOUR-worthy Homemade NACHOS in the @devour.kitchen! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 #QuarantineLife Freshly fried tortilla chips make all the difference! Inspired by @bingingwithbabish’s recipe. 🤤 #DEVOURPOWER —— 👇🏼 INGREDIENTS: – Corn tortillas – 1 gallon canola oil – Kosher salt – 1 lb of ground beef – 1/2 cup finely chopped onions – Fresh ground pepper – 1 1/2 tbsp chili powder – 1/2 tsp ground cumin – 1/2 tsp ground coriander – 1/2 tsp dried oregano – 1/2 tsp ground garlic – 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper – 1 lb sharp cheddar cheese – 8 oz pepper jack cheese – 2 tbsp butter – 2 tbsp flour – 1 1/2 cups whole milk – 1/2 can of Rotel tomatoes and chilies – Black beans – Guacamole – Sour cream – Pickled jalapeños – Chopped white onion – Chopped tomato —— 👇🏼 DIRECTIONS: – Make the tortilla chips. Cut your corn tortillas into chip shapes. Place in oven for 10 minutes, flipping each tortilla over after 5 minutes. Repeat with all tortilla chips. (We used 24 total tortillas, so 96 chips). Then heat 1 gallon of canola oil to 350 degrees F. Place all chips in the oil for 2 minutes. Take chips out and sprinkle a generous amount of Kosher salt. Set aside. – Make the taco beef. Start cooking 1 lb of ground beef in a pan. In a seperate pan, start cooking 1/2 cup of chopped white onion. Once the onions are heated up, toss in beef. Add your taco seasoning consisting of fresh ground pepper, 1 1/2 tbsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp ground cumin, 1/2 tsp ground coriander, 1/2 tsp dried oregano, 1/2 tsp ground garlic & 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper. Cool until finished. Set beef aside. – Make that damn queso. Shred 1 lb of sharp cheddar cheese and 8oz of pepper jack cheese. Yes, the more the better! Heat up a large sauce pan at medium heat. Add 2 tbsp of butter and 2 tbsp of flour. Slowly pour 1 1/2 cups of whole milk and whisk. Add 8 oz of sharp cheddar cheese and 8 oz of pepper jack cheese. Whisk. Add a 1/2 can of Rotel tomatoes and chilies. Add Kosher Salt. Queso is done! – Assemble. We layered in this order: Chips, Shredded Cheddar, Beef, Beans, Queso, White Onion, Tomato, Jalapeños, Repeat. – Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees F. Top with guacamole and sour cream. – DEVOUR! 👇🏼 TAG A DEVOURER! 👇🏼
